WONDERMOM

"During her pregnancy, Alice learns from her super mom manual that nothing is more wonderful than having a child. But when the baby is born, she finds herself overwhelmed by the idealized expectations she had of motherhood."
"Wondermom" is a graduation short film directed by Clémence PROVOST, Manon BENET, Mariam ULMASOVA, Lisa TARDIEU and me, produced by Ecole MoPA. It was our project for our final year, from 2022 to june 2023, in 3D animated film-making school.

I had the opportunity to do the character modeling of the protagonist, Alice. It was challenging but really nice to make the beautiful shapes designed by Clémence Provost into 3D shapes. I've made 5 states of Alice with morphers and transformations, working along with Lisa Tardieu who did the rigging. I did the surfacing on Alice's pregnant state; all of her other states surfacings were made by Mariam Ulmasova. I have also worked on the character design of Sacha, Alice's child, for Manon Benet to do the character modeling. Then I made some environnement assets, modeling and surfacing, along with my teammates. I've done some cloth simulation for Alice's different outfits, and helped on lighting, rendering and compositing.
This project was so interesting to do, and I loved sharing this effort and work with the group.
Maybe I'll make more turns and images of Alice and other assets I've worked on for another post !
